President and CEO
Eddy Perez, CMB, is President and CEO of Equity Prime Mortgage based in Atlanta, Georgia where he oversees overall operations, sales, revenue, marketing, compliance and technology. As co-founder of Equity Prime Mortgage, recognized as part of the Inc. 5000, he has excelled within the mortgage industry being named one of the nation’s top mortgage bankers, recognized in National Mortgage Professionals Magazine’s “40 Most Influential Mortgage Professionals under 40.” Throughout his distinguished career he has held multiple executive-level positions. Prior to co-founding Equity Prime Mortgage, in 2008, he operated the top producing office for Global Mortgage, Inc. He holds the prestigious Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation which he earned in October 2014. Perez is the chairman of the MORPAC, panelist for MBA future leaders program, holds a seat on the Board of Directors with the MBA and now co-chair of the new MBA affordable housing council. Founder and CEO Emeritus
KP is a proven executive with 20 years in the banking and mortgage industry and was an architect of successful strategic planning for a profitable mortgage banking operation. He started his mortgage career as a Loan Officer for NovaStar Home Mortgage in Maryland. KP is a highly successful individual and branch operations producer who has over eleven years working in the mortgage business holding such titles as loan officer, branch manager and executive.
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Jason Callan started from humble beginnings. He has 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry and brings a wealth of knowledge in mortgage operations. His first position was as a file clerk, in 2000, at a Reserve Mortgage company. Jason joined EPM in 2010 as a post closer. He catapulted from the closing team to management and heads up the EPM TPO Wholesale channel. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, spending time with family and cooking bbq.
Chief Production Officer (CPO)
David graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Risk Management. He started his career in the mortgage industry in 1985 with varying positions on the operations and sales side of the business. David has been in various management positions since 2001. David has spent most of his career focused on the first time homebuyer and underserved market. David believes properly executed homeownership is a great wealth creator.
David is the proud father of two grown children.
Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Philip Mancuso is the Chief Revenue Officer of Equity Prime Mortgage. Philip has almost 25 years’ experience in the mortgage industry as a top producing loan officer, sales and branch manager and executive. Prior to joining EquityPrime Mortgage, Philip has held many positions in management including Executive Vice President of The Money Store. Chief People Officer (CPO)
James started his career in the mortgage industry in 1993. Prior to joining Equity Prime Mortgage James held various positions including Branch Manager, Compliance Trainer, Compliance Assurance Manager and AVP of Compliance with Citi and Crescent Mortgage Company. James graduated from the University of Georgia (UGA) in 1992 with a degree in Political Science. James oversees all functions for Compliance, HR, Licensing and Quality Control.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Derk is the Chief Financial Officer of Equity Prime Mortgage and brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience to his role. He started his finance career in the Tax department of an international accounting firm before transitioning to the corporate world where he worked for both public and private companies. Derk has spent the past ten years of his career in the mortgage industry in the positions of CFO, VP – Accounting & Finance, and Controller. Derk has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He also holds an active CPA license from the State of Georgia. Derk is an Atlanta native and grew up just a few miles from the corporate headquarters.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Mark comes to us from Confiant, a cybersecurity firm specializing in protecting users from malicious code in the ad ecosystem. He managed the Solutions Engineering team that provides pre/post sales support and custom solutions for publishers. Mark founded and served as President and Chief Product Officer for CaseTrak Software, Inc. where he helped develop an enterprise grade case tracking and management platform for state and local governments. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, Mark spent 5 years as Chief Technology Officer for MLD Mortgage where he helped scale the business from one office in Florham Park, NJ with 45 employees to over 100 offices nationwide with over 3000 employees.
Chief of staff/Head of Marketing
Marketing professional with 10+ years’ experience with marketing development/strategy, organizational planning, and corporate communication. Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Kennesaw State University. Currently, Chief of Staff, reporting to the President of Equity Prime Mortgage. Awarded the 5-Star Award for honesty, integrity, and quality in 2018. In this role, Eric oversees many major projects such as overall marketing, new software integrations, marketing automation, lead gen, social media, graphic design, blogging, content creation, PR, SEO efforts, web content, promotional marketing, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and special events. Past experience includes planning and managing marketing/communication efforts within real estate and non-profits rooted in the finance, healthcare and insurance industry. More recently, participated as a panelist speaker 4x’s at the Mortgage Collaborative Conference, with a primary focus on digital marketing speaking on message authenticity, automation, and social media strategy/best practices.
A Georgia native, Christie began her career in the mortgage business 18 years ago as a junior processor, and within just a few short years, she graduated to Senior Processing Team Lead for a regional bank boasting over $1 Billion per year in loan sales. Always wanting to further her knowledge of the industry, Christie chose to make the move into underwriting in 2011 as an underwriter. From there, she has continued to expand her knowledge base to include FHA, VA, Jumbo, and Non-QM Portfolio loans, while never losing sight of the “sales first” approach to problem-solving that she prides herself on. “We are all on the same team and should act accordingly” as she loves to say. When she is not in the office, you can usually find her running on a local hiking trail, painting, or simply relaxing with her dog Roxy.
Human Resources Director
Melissa was born and raised in Cobb County, Ga. She is married with three grown sons and one grandson. She is honored to be your Human Resource Director and hopes to put over 20 years of experience into furthering the EPM way. She will be using her degrees in Human Resource Management and Business Management to partner with team members to make them feel appreciated, respected and heard. Her belief is that staff is the greatest asset at EPM and they need a healthy, happy, fun work environment that promotes personal and professional development.
Christina was originally born a military brat at Fort Jackson ARB in South Carolina. Her family was stationed at Travis AFB, California, where she was raised. In 2005, she relocated to Atlanta and began her journey into the mortgage industry. She started with data entry and have gained experience in Post Closing, Processing, and Closing. Christina says that “her heart will always have a special place for closing. I love my job, the environment I work in and the people I work with.” Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with my husband and son. “My family is my backbone and a reason why I want to continue to grow in my career.”
Nicole Moss is the Processing Manager at Equity Prime Mortgage, with 11 years of Sales and Leadership background prior to starting her career in Mortgage in 2012. Loving the challenge of solving the puzzle behind the story of each personal file, Nicole adapted well learning the various loan programs to support her customers. As a processor, she won several awards including but not limited to the President’s Award for top loan Funding recognition with limited errors. Nicole takes pride in assisting families in obtaining their dream of homeownership.
Secondary Marketing Manager
A long-standing member of team EPM, Jeff brings over 20 years of mortgage and real estate experience to the table. His experience spans multiple roles including seven years as a field real estate appraiser, and four years in secondary marketing.
Securitization & Fulfillment Manager
Janika grew up in Decatur, Georgia the oldest of six siblings, four bothers and one sister. Originally, she stepped into the mortgage industry as a pre closer for a real estate law firm in Atlanta. “I really enjoy helping others and being able to provide assistance to those seeking the dream of homeownership. I know I have been given many opportunities in my career, but working at EPM has allowed me to dive deeper into a management role however my roots will always be giving back to the community.” She says. Janika feels very at home with her EPM family and in addition has two beautiful kids that she spends time with. Her hobbies include reading the occasional adventure or romantic comedy, interior design and spending quality time at home.
VP of Business Development
Frank is the Vice President of Business Development at Equity Prime Mortgage where he recruits and develops new sales offices around the country. With 16 years’ experience as a Corporate Sales Recruiter in the mortgage industry, he has recruited over 1,200 loan officers, underwriters, processors, as well as disclosure and fulfillment staff. His mission has always been to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Utilizing the skills from his Economics and Marketing degrees he seeks to empower the next generation of employees by giving them a platform where they can grow and thrive into established professionals.
